WHAT IS THE CORE FOCUS OF YOUR COMPANY?
Höganäs is the world leader on the market for iron and metal powders with an annual capacity of 500,000 tons. Together with our customers, we develop tomorrow’s solutions for automotive components, brazing, electrical motors, additive manufacturing and water treatment. The company was founded in 1797 and is owned by Lindéngruppen and Wallenberg-owned FAM.
What makes your company special?
Höganäs' vision is to inspire industry to make more with less. By utilising the endless opportunities of our metal powders, we know that we can improve resource efficiency and lead a wave of change for the better. With people at every level of our organization dedicated to redefining what is possible, we continue to amaze the world with new breakthroughs. Höganäs is the largest and only truly global iron and metal powder producer. Our uniqueness is also characterized by in-depth application and end user knowledge, for example in the case of electric motors based on SMC where we provide motor design support using state of the art FEA-design tools.

What did your company contribute to ConnActive eDrive?
Höganäs participated in the initial idea generation process and selection of electric motor design concepts, as well as in the design of the transmission. Furthermore, the electromagnetic design of the axial flux motor was done by our designers

... be even more important for mankind than they are today and an essential part of a future sustainable society. The demand for highly efficient and integrated electric motors will increase in a number of existing and new applications, not least within the automotive sector.
