CONNACTIVE at the CTI Symposium Germany

The international CTI Symposium Germany and its accompanying exhibition is one of the most important events in the automotive sector.

Experts from 28 countries were together for the 18th time between 9th and 12th December 2019 to exchange ideas on the latest developments in drive technologies and automotive transmissions and to discuss ideas and visions for the future.

We were there as well, of course, with our partners Höganäs, Dontyne and Alvier, to introduce the CONNACTIVE eDrive to industry specialists.

Experience innovation up close

At the Höganäs stand we presented an innovative dual-drive hybrid solution, in which no less than three motors ensure efficient propulsion in all driving situations. A conventional combustion engine is combined with two electric units: the CONNACTIVE eDrive and a powerful radial flux motor, which was also designed and optimized by our team.

Efficient and effective

Together we have succeeded in making the RX aggregate even lighter, more compact and, above all, less expensive to produce. The elimination of the busbars and optimization of the coils mean that less copper is needed, a fact that noticeably minimizes production costs. This means: maximum performance with best possible efficiency, in production as well as on the road.

Achieving more together

The individual drive units are connected via an innovative power-split system based on a planetary transmission developed by our British partner Dontyne Gears.

It goes without saying that all the components of the transmission and the motors are produced by Höganäs from Soft Magnetic Composite (SMC).

Sharing knowledge

Besides giving a live presentation at the exhibition, Dagmar Münch, CTO of Alvier Mechatronics GmbH, introduced the system and the CONNACTIVE eDrive with all its innovative features and benefits right on day one of the symposium – 10th December.
